Cohesion ECM eyes off Aussie public sector

ASX-listed services provider, Empired, has announced an ambitious Australian roadmap for its Cohesion cloud-based ECM platform, originally developed for the New Zealand government market.

Based on SharePoint and also available on Microsoft Office365, Cohesion was initially developed by Intergen, the NZ solution provider acquired by Empired in October 2014.

The number of NZ users of the SaaS product has passed 11,000 with the recent addition of 4500 seats at Oranga Tamariki, a new Ministry dedicated to child welfare.

Other existing sites include Education New Zealand (ENZ) and New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries.

Russell Baskerville, Managing Director, Empired said, “We are delighted to have been selected by some of New Zealand’s largest government agencies to help them manage their critical information assets. We are confident that our offering is portable to the Australian market and excited by the opportunity this presents to us.”

While the company estimates there is a potential market of 80,000 users in the NZ public sector for Cohesion, it has established dedicated sales team to target a potential 1.8 million userbase across all levels of government in Australia.
