The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has released a new category in its software licensing procurement panel for Commonwealth Government Departments and Agencies covering commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The panel includes a number of specialists in digital records management software, but the DTA has confirmed that the Department of Finance Investment Moratorium will still apply to the new panel.

The new COTS software category is intended to replace most of the software procurement which was previously arranged through a Department of Finance panel. It includes products such as analytics, project management and workflow tools, data migration, software integration and system testing software.

EDRMS solution providers including Citadel Software, iCognition and Informotion are included on the COTS panel.

According to the DTA, “Government departments will be able to renew existing records management licences through the panel.

“The Department of Finance Investment Moratorium will still apply to new investment in digital records management capability. Government departments remain responsible for applying the moratorium.”
