Qantas Super takes IQ Group to the board

Qantas Superannuation has adopted IQ Group’s iqBoard platform to generate and distribute board and committee documents.

iqBoard is a secure meeting management and board documentary distribution platform and operates through both a cloud-based operating environment and a mobile iPad platform. It replaces paper-based documentation and reduces consumables and preparation time for board secretariats.

"The Qantas board and its committees needed an easier solution to ensure on-time and concurrent delivery regardless of where the board member was located,” says Jane Perry, CEO of Qantas Superannuation.

“The board also wanted to ensure that our security benchmark for board communications and meeting packs continued to meet, or exceed, general prudential practice guidelines. Finally, there were significant expense savings with a reduction in paper, printing and courier costs.”

iqBoard ensures multiple layers of authentication, encryption, enforced password management and remote wiping capabilities, plus has meant an 80% time saving for pack creation for Qantas Superannuation board, and audit, risk and compliance, investments, member services and StrongerSuper committee meetings.

Meanwhile, IQ Group has also launched a new service, iqVault, an investment document management offering for investment teams, which Qantas Superannuation has also adopted. iqVault provides a portal for monthly and compliance reports and investment instructions. Using rules-based automatic routing of documents, it handles investment execution instructions.

"The immediate productivity and collaboration gains of this solution are significant from a consumables, production and communications perspective,” says Graham Sammells, IQ Group's CEO.

“This implementation showcases the business and technology benefits that the secure iqBoard solution enables for its end users. We are proud to be able to add Qantas Superannuation to our list of clients benefiting from the iqBoard solution.”
