Network Appliance joins the SAS

No the storage vendor will not be trooping around Northern Iraq as part of the Australian SAS mission to help the US invade Iraq; the storage vendor's systems are to be offered as part of an application service provider offering from the business intelligence vendor SAS.

SAS is to offer Network Appliance (NetApp) storage solutions as part of its SAS IntelliVisor financial services application service provider (ASP) offering.

Customers using the SAS ASP offering will be able to store and access Web logs, reports, emails, directories and software on the NetApp NearStore hardware using the SnapMirror storage management application.
