Legato stands by SQL databases
Legato Systems has added support for SQL 2000 databases to its Co-StandBy Server, which features a "synchronous mirroring" technology for data recovery and failover functions.
The Co-StandbyServer AAdvanced for SQL 2000 protects Windows-based enterprise applications built on SQL databases by engaging in "block-level mirroring", according to the company. The new product is a merger of two of Legato's existing products: the Co-Standby Server and the Legato Automated Availability Manager (LAAM).
The new product also includes integrated application monitoring and recovery capabilities, according to Legato.
