US backing for local software

American management specialists Brown and Katharine Linganfelter have taken a significant financial holding in Australian software house Global Competency Systems (GCS), which developed the BLAST! multimedia training system.

The injection of funds will help GCS push into the US, and in the financial year ahead turnover is expected to grow from $1.5 million to $3 million. GCS expects that within the next 18 months, 80 per cent of turnover will come from the US and the UK.

The BLAST! adaptable Windows-based software gives companies the tools to create their own multimedia training system.
