Micrografx has announced the launch of NetworkCharter, a management software solution that integrates local area network (LAN) discovery, intelligent documentation and design.
NetworkCharter takes the responsibility of managing the enterprise down to the local level. By doing this, corporate network managers benefit from its integrated approach as impractical tasks at the corporate level are greatly facilitated at the local level.
Through discovery, NetworkCharter has the ability to locate discoverable devices on the user's LAN and the ability to also automatically create a model, viewable in graphical and tabular format, of all discovered devices.
NetworkCharter has a vast library of over 9,000 network devices and components containing configuration rules and over 600 attribute fields organised by device type.
Network design incorporates wizards that ask users straightforward questions and then processes those responses against logic, device library rules and specifications to design true LAN and WAN network models.
