Altris EB wins international new product award

Altris EB, the new document management system developed by US-based Altris Software has been named "most exciting product launched in 1997", at an international technology awards in London. The judging panel at the Information Age awards said Altris was given the award based on EB's major innovations, notably its three-tier object orientated architecture.

In related news, The Optum Group has established an international strategic alliance with Canadian-based Internet software development company Bittco Solutions. Under the alliance Optum will have exclusive Australasian rights to Bittco software and consulting services and will take a cross share holding in the company to develop new products.
