Aust distributor wins top award at Asia Pacific conference

Lynx Technologies, the Sydney-based distributor of extended storage systems, won two major awards at the recent Asia Pacific conference of Hewlett Packard's Information Storage Group (ISG).

The Australian company received the top award from HP, being named Asia Pacific reseller of the year. Lynx also won the reseller's award for the Australian and New Zealand region.

The conference, held in Bali in December, was attended by 90 resellers of HP storage systems throughout the Asia Pacific region, as well as many executives from HP.

The award was accepted by Lynx principal John Gabor, whose company has been a HP reseller for the past five years. According to HP, the company won both awards in recognition of its overall sales growth, as well as the awareness of the DDS-3 digital tape technology the company had developed in Australia.

Lynx is also a distributor of high-end magneto-optical jukeboxes, used in many imaging and workflow sites in Australia, as well as digital tape library systems.
