Canon's complete solution for less than $10,000

Canon Integrated Solutions has released a complete turnkey solution including application software, a high-speed scanner and optical storage system.

The system features a logical and intuitive user interface based on Canon's new Windows-based version of the Canofile index cell system, and incorporates industry standard Group 4 Tiff file formats. The application also has full backwards compatibility with Canofile 250 and 510.

The $10,000 solution requires no hard disk caching, with direct writing capbilities to magneto optical disk. The CD mastering capability is optional.

Canon's DR3020 high speed duplex (both sides in one pass) scanner scans up to 40 pages per minute.

The DR3020 scanner and Canofile for Windows can be used in many different configurations, from small standalone systems to large networks. With a standalone solution, documents can be stored on and retrieved from your local hard disk, an MOD or a CD-ROM.

The system supports Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows NT, and has network scalability.
