ImageAccel 3 display controller

Cornerstone Imaging has released ImageAccel 3, a family of controllers specifically designed to display scanned documents and featuring specialised graphics capabilities for Windows applications.

"ImageAccel 3 is designed to optimise the clarity, readability and flip speed of scanned documents accessed from within document management, workflow, groupware or intranet/internet applications," said Kennith Westrick, Cornerstone's vice-president and general manager of display products.

"We've now combined ImageAccel 3's performance at the document image processing desktop with best-of-breed graphics capabilities for business users."

Also designed by Cornerstone, ImageAccel 3 features ScaleToGray image enhancement, a scaling algorithm that dramatically improves the readability of bi-tonal scanned documents by adding shades of grey to smooth and enhance displayed text and graphics.

The ImageAccel 3 family of PCI controllers is now available ranging from $495 to $795.
