Barracuda Networks has launched Integrated Email Protection, a cloud email security product that detects and removes threats even after a message reaches the inbox.
The product layers on top of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Barracuda says it continuously re-evaluates messages and can claw back malicious email after delivery, rather than scanning only at the point of entry.
It runs on the BarracudaONE platform and correlates signals across email, identity, network, data and applications. The company says this cross-domain view helps managed service providers investigate and remove risk faster.
Barracuda released research alongside the launch. Its red team recreated a multi-stage AI-powered attack that moved from one phishing email to identity theft, MFA bypass and endpoint compromise in minutes.
The company says one in seven compromised accounts is now used to launch further attacks, a figure it expects to rise as attackers automate with AI.
“Email is no longer a human-centric communication platform; it's an operational fabric where humans and AI interact,” said Rohit Ghai, chief executive of Barracuda. He said the shift amplifies the speed, scale and impact of undetected attacks.
New features include AI agents that triage and remediate threats tenant-wide, a unified quarantine that consolidates Microsoft-quarantined email into Barracuda, and value reporting that quantifies threats stopped. The Bailey AI assistant explains each verdict in plain language and lets teams reverse actions.
Barracuda claims high-efficacy detection drawn from one of the industry's largest threat intelligence datasets. It says it analyses about 1.5 billion URLs a day to spot threats before users click.
The company says the product deploys via API in minutes, with no MX record changes or mail-flow disruption.
