Dataupia Keeps Archives at Fingertips

May 15, 2007: Dataupia has released its Satori Server 12000 data management system, promising integrated storage, sever and optimisation software in a scalable system that it claims is the industry’s first and only data warehouse appliance designed for complete transparency.

According to Dataupia, the system features unique database and application transparency, enabling organisations to expand their data retrieval capabilities and unlock the knowledge contained in “detailed, atomic level data”.

As businesses are becoming increasingly data-driven, it is getting harder and harder to keep exploding data levels not only accessible, but useful and compliant. Vast tracks of valuable data is often locked away, and with analysts claiming that corporate data will reach a zetabyte by 2010, managing data is becoming more important than ever.

“Most companies and large organisations are only using a small fraction of data available to improve business operations and maximise investments made to meet growing regulatory requirements,” says Dan Vesset, Research Director, Analytics and Data Warehousing Software at IDC.

“Decisions about data retention should not have to be made on the cost of keeping the data, but rather should be made on the value that data brings to the business.”

Dataupia claims its Satori Server allows large amounts of data to remain on-line and easily accessible by reporting and analytic applications without dedicating a team of highly skilled experts.
