LexisNexis Rolls Out New E-discovery Tools
July 30, 2008: LexisNexis Applied Discovery is rolling out the latest evolution of its e-discovery platform, claiming it offers significant advancements for planning and monitoring large review projects.
Aimed at corporations and law firms, LexisNexis says the new Applied Discovery Online Review Application (ORA) offers improvements to workflow, batching and search performance, while increasing capacity, lowering turnaround times and beefing up security.
The company says that the new features are in part a result of an investment of more than US$10 (AU$10.45) million dollars over the last year in hosting upgrades.
“The exceptional enhancements made to the Online Review Application, coupled with the significant $10 million dollar investment in our hosting centre reflect our continued commitment to the legal industry to offer one of the fastest, most flexible, state-of-the-art electronic discovery platforms available,” said Applied Discovery Vice President for Marketing, David Weber.
In the legal industry the single largest expense for most discovery projects are costs associated with attorney review of documents, in which slow searches and wait times for data processing can add significantly to costs.
