June 19, 2008: Software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider LiveOffice has released a new email archiving offering that it says will help business and public organisations gain the benefits of e-discovery and mailbox management without devoting significant time resources to deployment.

Complementing its financial services, LiveOffice Mail Archive has been designed to deal with email compliance issues without burdening IT staff with greater management responsibilities.

“With the amendments to the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the unrelenting explosion in email volume, interest in email archiving has expanded from the financial services giants to nearly every organisation worldwide, large or small,” said Nick Mehta, new CEO of LiveOffice.

“Speaking from personal experience, an increasing number of organisations with limited IT resources need an email archiving solution, but are struggling with the cost, complexity and risk of an internal deployment.”

LiveOffice says Mail Archive’s archiving platform takes advantage of the latest Web 2.0 and cloud computing technologies to deliver a Microsoft Outlook-like user interface and rapid search and retrieval, and do it with a flat monthly cost per user, regardless of storage amount or retention period.
