HDS pulls services together to strengthen company

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has united all of its product services divisions to create one single organisation that aims to offer more effective strategy, development and support.

Under the leadership of executive vice president and general manager, Ken Beaudry, the new organisation includes hardware and software product management, global solution services, technical operations, technical response centres, the technology office and global education.

Dave Roberson, the president and chief operating officer for Hitachi Data Systems said: "With the announcement of the TagmaStore Universal Storage Platform, we are now further accelerating our solutions focus, and the next step is aligning of resources with the introduction of the global solutions development and support organisation under Ken.

"Ken brings proven success in driving solutions through his leadership of global solution services. He can now create synergies among all of the product and services groups to take solution strategy, development, and delivery to the next level."

Beaudry added: "This new organisation will build on the clear technology leadership that Hitachi Data Systems is currently enjoying and leverage the expertise across groups to deliver, and support solutions for our Fortune 500 enterprise customers and the rapidly growing SMB markets.

"These solutions will ensure that customers derive the highest business value out of their investment with us."

Beaudry successful track record includes doubling the size of the global solution services unit by developing its professional services offerings and starting content archiving services.
