Objective spreads EDRMS net further in SA
Objective has won another electronic document and records management contract in South Australia, this time for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, to help staff share information more easily and securely across different offices.
The aim of the department is to support the Premier in his mission to enhance the economy, nurture culture and protect the environment for the benefit of the South Australian public.
The DPC is made up of five core divisions: the Cabinet Office, the Social Inclusion Unit, Strategic Projects, Corporate & State Services Division and Arts SA, as well as the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment.
Objective's solution was chosen because the DPC wanted a system that could allow staff to have access to high quantities of information instantly at critical times. Freedom of Information requests and responses to Ministerial letters are often needed urgently.
The department wanted a solution that could improve the speed and efficiency of managing these documents, which could also meet the legislation requirements of the States Records Act 1997, the Freedom of Information Act 1991 and the Electronic Transactions Act 2000.
Darryl Treasure, general manager of the State Services at the South Australian DPC said. "The department's demand for accurate and timely access to information is integral to supporting the department's records management requirements."
"Objective was best able to meet our business requirements to manage and track both physical and electronic documents within the same solution, whilst maintaining security, integrity and confidentiality of information."
Treasure is pleased that staff will have the ability to share documents across divisions and maintain the uniformity of corporate documentation to help deliver high quality services throughout the department.
This contract follows Objective's announcement last month of a contract with the South Australian Department of Treasury and Finance.
Tony Walls, CEO of Objective, said. "Being trusted by the South Australian government's lead departments carries a significant amount of prestige and responsibility."
In addition, Objective has also been ranked 38 in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 table. This is made up of growing technology companies, public or private, based on percentage revenue growth over three years.
