Quantum has released a new autoloader to its range. The ATL ValueLoader DLT VS80 is a rack based system designed to use Quantum's DLT VS80 tape drive.

This is Quantum's first 2U rack based autoloader. It will integrate with the existing ATL L-Series autoloaders. The Valueloader uses a single DLT VS80 tape drive with an eight cartridge capacity, providing end users with 640GB of storage.

The new product is ideal for Australia, as Quantum is pitching it at small offices and remote offices such as Australia's branch offices economy.

The device is already available to the Australian market from Quantum's major distributors ACA Pacific and Express Data(Click here for related story), the deal with Express was announced just last week. The suggested list price is AU$8,536.
