QLogic certifies latest Veritas software

Just one day after the global announcement of Backup Exec 9.0 from Veritas and the first certification for the application has arrived. QLogic has certified Backup Exec for its range of fibre channel storage area network solutions.

QLogic has certified Backup Exec 9.0 across its full range of storage area network (SAN) systems, including the SANblade QLA23/40 fibre channel host bus adapters; SANbox2 fibre channel switch; and the SAN connectivity kit.

In a statement, the vice president of marketing at QLogic, Frank Berry said, "The combination of VERITAS Backup Exec software with QLogic host bus adapters and switches addresses industry demands for end-to-end SAN infrastructure solutions that ensure reliable, cost-effective data protection."
