Hitachi has created a new hard disk drive (HDD) storage company, Global Storage Technologies, which comprises Hitachi's and IBM's HDD operations and has released four new HDD products.
In a deal that could be the first of many, Cisco Systems and IBM have joined forces to combine the companies' Fibre Channel storage-area networking products.
