Alfresco Partners ECM/Workflow Provider

Alfresco Partners ECM/Workflow Provider

April 23, 2007: Alfresco has partnered with fellow open source crusader WoodWing USA, to deliver a joint program combining Alfresco’s 2.0 ECM solution and WoodWing’s editorial workflow.

The integrated solution will primarily address the needs of the publishing industry by building on the constructs of open source, standards compliant, enterprise technology. The combined effort will see the specific technologies for publishing intertwined with web content management, ECM and content delivery systems.

The solution comes off the back of WoodWing’s latest update, the Smart Connection Enterprise v. 4.2. By combining its three-tier open architecture, editorial work system with version 2.0 of Alfresco’s open source ECM solution, publishers are offered an end-to-end solution.

According to Brian Krugar, CEO of WoodWing USA, the merits of the solution primarily exist in its cost benefits. “On a competitive basis, this combination offers an alternative to traditional, expensive, rigid systems,” he says.

“We are now able to offer the best in editorial workflow and ECM at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.”
