BitDefender joins forces with SOS for Online Backup
Month Date, 2008: Security provider, BitDefender has teamed up with SOS Online Backup to provide customers with a product that combines the best of both worlds.
The fruit of the partnership will be called BitDefender Online Backup and will encompasse both security and data loss prevention features into the online storage, backup and recovery solution.

By working with SOS Online Backup, not only do we offer our customers an industry leading proactive security solution, but also integrated continuous real-time backup of any file that offers peace of mind from data loss that can occur from internet threats, system failures, and unforeseen disasters.”
The service provides online and offsite storage and backup technology combined with a global network of data centres running on SOS servers. Stored data is compressed using SOS ShrinkRAP delta compression prior to transfer, which cuts down in bandwidth consumption and transmission time.
