Documentum solves it for ITSA

September 5, 2008: The agency that manages personal insolvency in Australia is adopting EMC’s Documentum Content Management platform to enhance its ongoing case management solution (eSolve).

Documentum will provide the Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia (ITSA) with the ability to manage both structured and unstructured content.

ITSA (www.itsa.gov.au ) operates the bankruptcy registry, where debtors petitions are lodged, debt agreement proposals are processed and public records on insolvency are maintained, and acts as a trustee in bankruptcy. It also investigates possible offences under the Bankruptcy Act and prepares briefs of evidence for prosecution.

Peter Stevenson, Chief Information Officer ITSA, said the management of information is key to ITSA becoming a totally client driven organisation.

“It is vital for ITSA to have our information organised and available to staff and clients, especially as our volume of electronic information grows significantly. We expect the EMC Documentum solution to strongly assist us.”

Documentum will be used to assist the flow and delivery of structured and unstructured business information across ITSA.
