KnowledgeTree bears new SaaS fruit

July 16, 2009:KnowledgeTreeLive, a subscription based software as a service (SaaS) ECM offering, now offers the same access from Microsoft Office and Zoho Writer as the on-site version.

An update from KnowledgeTree provides all the features available in the on-site version of KnowledgeTree 3.6.1, including the Microsoft Office Add-in, which allows users to view, edit, save and email documents in the KnowledgeTree repository from within Office applications. For the totally mobile workforce, KnowledgeTreeLive also integrates with Zoho Writer, making it possible to edit documents without desktop software.

“KnowledgeTreeLive offers a feature-rich solution that is also extremely affordable,” said Michael Lachs, Australian managing director of IMAGINiT Technologies, a RAND worldwide company.

“This solution has enabled two geographically dispersed offices in Australia to work seamlessly together to share documents and collaborate on projects. Also, because KnowledgeTreeLive integrates with other applications essential to our business, employees can now be as productive away from the office as in it.”

KnowledgeTreeLive promises:

Secure access to documents across the organization from anywhere in the world at any time

Enterprise-class document management functionality without the cost, administration and maintenance of an on-site solution

Collaboration among geographically distributed employees

Integration with third-party applications via rich APIs

“At KnowledgeTree, our customer base is growing significantly as we continue to bring affordable document management solutions to organizations of all sizes,” said Daniel Chalef, KnowledgeTree CEO.

“Our turnkey SaaS solution enables geographically dispersed organizations to promote telecommuting and full productivity from any location. It’s an ideal solution for SMBs and any organization with mobile workers.”
