Soda PDF adds security layer

Canada’s Lulu Software, the publisher of Soda PDF, a portable document format (PDF) editing and creation application, has announced plans to embed a security solution form Glasswall Solutions  into its products.

Those familiar with PDF documents containing threats, viruses, Trojans and many more security issues are well aware of the difficulties that are facing all the PDF application publishers to stop these malicious files from infecting your computer. Soda PDF  is soon to release a new version that will include a security layer that prevents any threats from infecting the user's computer and/or environment.

Soda PDF 5 Business Edition will be released with new security features benefiting from the Glasswall Solutions partnership. Soda PDF will break a file down, analyse it at the byte level and pass it through the patented Glasswall technology and its intelligent management dashboard. Soda PDF will return a sanitised, policy compliant and totally secure file containing only 'known good' data.

Soda PDF Business Edition provides 3D view page rendering, accurate conversion to Word  and intuitive editing features along with its management console.

"File exploits and security issues in PDF documents are constantly increasing and constitute one of the most common security vulnerabilities for companies"' said Eric Gareau, Chief Executive Officer, LULU Software. "Our objective has been to offer an answer, an added layer that other PDF application publishers don't."
