Business galore open at eCorner store

Australian business eCorner is planning to give e-commerce a boost in this country for SMEs by showing them how to set up their own online shops, combined with ongoing support.

eCorner was set up to deliver e-business solutions with the support of local knowledge in the style of a "corner store", based on the epages product.

Chief Executive Officer, John Debrincat elaborated. "eCorner is designed to be like a corner store, safe, friendly and secure, so that SMEs, who typically do not have huge amounts of computer expertise, can talk to us about any of their e-business requirements.

"We chose epages because it is one of the most frequently used e-business platforms in the world. It is so simple and easy to use. SMEs can make full use of the numerous advantages of e-business quickly and cost effectively. So it provides a risk-free solution, supported by staff here at eCorner."

The e-commerce market is expected to increase by 50 percent every year, according to recent research, but many SMEs feel that having a full online shop is still too expensive and complex to set up.

In addition, they do not have the confidence about the robustness and security of online shops either.

The epages product offers fast and easy deployment, reduced administration, collaborative maintenance of data, low operating costs and ease of use.

Companies can either host their own e-shop, or use a hosted solution to build and manage their own shop via a browser for a monthly fee.

epages will be launched to the market at CeBIT (stand g43), Darling Harbour in Sydney from May 4th to the 6th.
