Kodak's new addition to its family of scanners

With advanced imaging and paper-handling features suitable for a wide range of applications, the Kodak i280 Scanner is the newest addition to the i200 Series Scanners.

According to Kodak, this modular desktop colour production scanner boasts significant performance and productivity improvements.

The duplex i280 Scanner delivers up to 248 images per minute. It can deliver images in colour, bitonal, or grayscale, offering colour scanning speeds of up to 62 pages per minute (ppm) or 124 images per minute (ipm) and up to 248 ipm in dual-stream mode.

Other features include Perfect Page with iThresholding to deliver cleaner, sharper images at full processing speed. This reduces pre-sorting, rescans, and post-image processing to improve overall operator productivity.

It contains 256 MB of Memory as standard to accommodate the scanning of non-standard paper lengths. Customers can scan documents up to 6 metres (20 feet). The memory can be upgraded to a total of 512 MB.

The i280 also has a Special Document Mode to scan a variety of exception documents, such as detachable coupons and environmental recording charts, which increases the productivity of the scanning operation compared to scanners that require the use of a flatbed.
