EMC expands ASN services
EMC will extend its Authorised Services Network availability to a wide range of mid-market sellers and system integrators, enabling them to take advantage of EMC's services for storage area networks (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS).
These implementations are based on EMC's CLARiiON storage systems and software.
EMC has been increasing its investments in helping channel partners offer the most efficient mid-tier storage solutions over the last year.
They introduced the Velocity Partner Programme in 2003, which enabled EMC and its channel partners to work more closely and better address new and underserved markets.
They plan to strengthen those relationships by including qualified Velocity Partners in its ASN and providing access to EMC intellectual property, training, mentoring and licensed service delivery methodologies for a range of CLARiiON-based SAN and NAS professional services.
Those who qualify for this new tier will complete a comprehensive EMC Proven Professional training programme. This will prepare resellers and integrators to offer competitively priced, high-demand services including: implementing and integrating CLARiiON in SAN and NAS environments; the configuration of EMC PowerPath software for single and multiple servers and the custom installation and configuration of the data replication capabilities of EMC SnapView software.
