EMC introduce new ControlCentre functionality

EMC has introduced new online capabilities for its ControlCenter open storage management software that it says will provide direct connection between EMC's expertise and its users' requirements.

Through new online access and subscription-based software, EMC is, for the first time, giving customers a single management environment and software solutions that reach from their specific infrastructure directly into EMC's collective knowledge bases and intelligence engines.

The new online ControlCenter management capabilities provide users with direct, web-based access to EMC's global repository of information management knowledge.

"The new online ControlCenter access and expert systems bring EMC's expertise closer to where it's needed," declared Erez Ofer, executive VP of open software operations at EMC. "These new capabilities will help customers overcome their skills shortages, deliver better service levels, shorten time to problem identification and resolution and greatly simplify the task of architecting and implementing networked storage environments."
