Magnum certification from CA

Computer Associates has given its certification for the Magnum20 LTO tape library from Exabyte.

The certification means that Computer Associates (CA) storage management applications such as BrightStor ARCserve 2000, ARCserve Backup v9 for Windows and NetWare and the BrightStor Enterprise Backup software for Windows, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX and Tru64 operating systems can now operate the tape library back up system.

The Magum20 configured with all eight tape drives, 150 cartridges and the CA software will provide end users with 30 terabytes of storage.

"With this certification, Exabyte can now offer CA's BrightStor ARCserve Backup and BrightStor Enterprise Backup users the superior rack density, low TCO and high reliability of our new Magnum20 library," said Kelly Beavers, vice president of marketing at Exabyte.
