Panagon certified by US Defense

FileNet has announced that its Panagon IDM software is the first electronic document management (EDM) software certified to be fully compliant to the US Department of Defense (DoD) design criteria standards (DoD 5015.2-STD).

The DoD standard ensures the certified software has been thoroughly tested and meets mandatory functional requirements for records management application (RMA) software used by DoD agencies.

PAFEC aligns with German vendor

UK-based EDM software developer PAFEC is to align with German software and systems company SER.

SER is the largest and fastest growing European company in the field of commercial document management.

With the alliance, the group will be the largest document management company in Europe.

There is a considerable overlap between the activities of PAFEC and SER and by eliminating it there will be the opportunity to use the freedresources to develop much faster.

The group will cover all facets of document management including commercial and technical management, workflow, backfile conversion and the manufacture and supply of juke box systems. It will be active in the USA, Germany, Britain and France.

Tower Technology opens in Perth

Tower Technology has opened a Perth office as part of its expansion around the country.

The Australian owned document and imaging workflow solution company will consolidate support for its existing customers in Western Australia and provide a platform to increase its market share in the region.

Tower has recently implemented successful workflow and imaging systems for several WA customers such as the City of Sterling Council, Macquarie Bank and the Health Insurance Commission.

Tower will be increasing its focus on the mining resources industry, in addition to its more traditional markets of financial services and government.
