Exabyte's new SupportSuite
Exabyte has announced the release of SupportSuite, a broad range of services and enhanced warranty coverage for their storage products.
The first component offered in the Suite is a three-year warranty for Mammoth and Eliant 820 tape drives as well as its 210, 220, 440,480, 18D and 230D automated tape libraries.
Exabyte resellers and end users can now work directly with Exabyte to establish on-site support and Exabyte will facilitate mission-critical, business-critical and next-day support agreements. This will provide users with coverage up to and including seven day, 24 support and 4 hour on-site response.
Exabyte has also announced the release of Exabyte FC11, a fibre channel-to-SCSI router. The FC11 allows users to integrate tape drives and library solutions into the growing market for fibre channel-based Storage Area Networks (SANs).
SM61, a SCSI multiplexer, is also being released by Exabyte, allowing users to share tape drives with up to six SCSI attached UNIX or NT servers.
