Off-line Health Classification on a phone or tablet

Sydney based software firm Eurofield Information Solutions (EIS) has launched secure OFF-LINE clinical coding TurboCoder apps for smart phones and tablets.

Under the TurboCoder brand, EIS has released the ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS digital health disease and procedure classification apps that enable clinicians, clinical coders and students working in health field to access the same information from their phone or tablet that they can in a web, PDF or book format.

With hard copy versions of the medical coding classification books weighing in at over seven kilograms spread over more than five volumes, the apps not only permanently compress the information into a smart phone accessible tool, but also include powerful features that make finding and referencing information faster and more secure than ever before.

EIS CEO Alfred Papallo believes that secure mobile apps are the future for all Mission and Business Critical reference publications.

“Our TurboCoder apps are based on our eComPress Digital Reference Publishing software that enables us to permanently compress millions of words, numbers, alphanumeric characters and graphics into, small, fast, secure and fully searchable OFF-LINE apps. eComPress apps are compatible with both iOS and Android devices and instantly accessible even when there is no Wi-Fi or data network available.

“EIS provides the secure Windows ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS TurboCoder reference publications for most of the Clinical Coders in Australia, and they constantly tell us in surveys that the searching is the reason they must have the TurboCoder,” said Mr Papallo.

“Not only is the information literally at the users’ finger tips, but the apps are secure guaranteeing the integrity of the content, and users are guaranteed to find what they need much faster than the PDF or web search tools. Unlike traditional key-word indexed publications, eComPress indexes every word, phrase and number and will quickly provide search results in context within the publication. With our Pre-emptive Search Spelling Help (PSSH) users are guaranteed to find what they need quickly and easily, and can easily copy and paste to notes or email for referencing; follow links to other content to enhance their understanding, and work so much faster and more effectively than with web, PDF or hard copy books.”

“There are also significant cost savings as well. The TurboCoder ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS 9th Edition mobile app versions currently sell for $A89.99 including updates, compared to $A550 for the five print volumes, and do not involve ongoing subscription fees like most web solutions. It makes sense for organisations, educational institutions and industry to utilise the power of mobile digital apps. The benefits for productivity and cost effectiveness are immense,” Mr Papallo said.

TurboCoder versions of the Australian ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS  9th Edition are now available for 14-day FREE trial download from the Apple App Store and 7-day FREE trial download from Google Play Store.
