Inotec unveils high speed document scanner

InoTec Australia is launching the new Scamax 8x1 scanner at CeBIT Sydney 2015, a high speed scanner capable of scanning up to 300 Pages per minute or 600 images per minute.

It features a dual input hopper tray, an innovative output system, as well as a safe paper transport promising an almost uninterrupted scan process.

The SCAMAX 8x1 is equipped with a motor-driven, height adjustable input table and touch screen technology.

Important steps of the digitisation process can be preset inside the device including image processing, gamma correction and digital colour filtering, as well as automatic blank page detection and multi streaming for the simultaneous output of colour, grey and black/white images.

The InoTec 8x1 has an internal scan client as well as TWAIN and ISIS drivers, allowing users to connect all compatible software including Kofax VRS.

InoTec vice director of international sales, Wolf-Christopher Gramatte, believes that a major competitive advantage of the 8×1 series is its time- and cost-saving capabilities.

He explains, “Due to the small footprint and unique features such as our patented dual input hopper and second output tray, an operator is able to run two scanners easily. On a competitive unit, you might need two or three operators – one to input paper, one for output and a third for resolving paper jams/troubles.”
