March 22, 2007: Location intelligence solutions provider MapInfo know a lot about people. They’re putting their knowledge to the test and packaging it in their AnySite solution, a local market analysis application.

MapInfo says the solution provides the means for site selection strategies on the basis of consumer behaviour, enabling organisations to map demographic profiles against specific locations.

The Australian specific software incorporates Australian Census data alongside industry data for estimating and mapping demographic profiles against specific locations.

In the Public sector, MapInfo says planners will be better informed in the decision making process by using AnySite in conjunction with ABS data.

Jonathon Wright, Australian managing director for MapInfo says AnySite has already put intelligence capabilities into the hands of organisations such as Lend Lease, Brown-Forman and Elders. “With AnySite users can generate literally hundreds of maps and reports within a single session,” he says.

“This enables them to identify within moments which of multiple sites has the greatest concentration of desired variables, saving hours and even days of tedious work.”
