Sharp adds A3 entry-level MFDs

Sharp Corporation of Australia has announced a new series of A3 entry-level mono multifunction devices (MFDs), AR-5618D and AR-5623D, equipped with colour scanning and upgradeable network printing.

These new MFDs promise fast copying using the SOPM (Scan Once/Print Many) function, editing functions, and built-in Duplex Module and Optional Reversing Single Pass Feeder (RSPF)s.

An electronic sorting function automatically collates multiple sets of copies in page order while the Optional Sharpdesk document management software allows scanned documents to be edited, saved or shared.

Mark Beard, National Marketing Manager, Sharp Corporation Australia said “The built-in Sharp Printer Language with Compression (SPLC) technology effectively reduces the data size of print jobs and speeds up the data transfer while improving the overall throughput.”

“Furthermore, the Optional MX-NB12 Network Expansion Kit, which supports the PCL 6 page description language for higher performance and expands further to offer a one-touch scanning function direct to a USB storage device, allows easy printer sharing through office networks,” said Beard.

These MFDs are equipped with two 250-sheet-front-loading trays (one 250-sheet for the AR-5618D) and a 100-sheet multi-bypass feeder. With two types of paper draws, paper capacity can be boosted up to 1,100 sheet capacity, perfect for long and complex print jobs. Moreover, fast print out time with less paper jams is achieved through the reliable paper feeding system, which previously available only on the higher-end models.

The AR-5623D and AR-5618D are $3,058.00 and $2,233.00 ex GST respectively.
