Universal Imaging Goes Vista Compatible

Universal Imaging Goes Vista Compatible

By Nathan Statz

July 27, 2007: A new Vista compatible version of Binary Resource’s Universal Imaging Utility (UIU) has been launched in the UK

Manufactured by Big Bang LLC, the new version of UIU is taking advantage of the new growth of the Windows Vista platform. Working alongside cloning programs such as Altiris, Acronis and Zenworks, the tool allows users to create a single master image for any Windows platform and can dramatically reduce image creation and maintenance expenses.

Along with Vista functionality, the new version 3.5 will contain “several functionality improvements and a large driver database” Annette Dow, Director of Binary Resource (BR) said.

Dow believes that whilst cloning software has evolved apace, the burden of maintaining multiple image files has become increasingly difficult. IT personnel waste valuable time juggling images or doing extensive post-cloning configuring to get their systems fully functional.
