Vasion claims its new Print Automation platform can stop documents going dark when staff print, save to PDF or scan to folders.
The company says those everyday actions turn enterprise data unstructured, pushing it outside compliance controls and away from AI workflows. The platform instead routes documents from any application to a chosen destination, keeping the familiar File > Print habit.
Vasion frames the launch around a growing data problem. Citing Gartner, it says about 80 per cent of enterprise information is unstructured. Gartner also predicts large enterprises will triple their unstructured data capacity by 2028.
Vasion argues AI is worsening the trend, as staff generate larger documents in higher volumes and still send them through the same print workflow.
“Organisations looking to modernise their document management are expected to increasingly rely on secure, seamlessly integrated, AI-driven compliance solutions for print and digital workflows,” said Geoffrey Wilbur, research manager at IDC.
The company points to healthcare as a high-stakes case, where patient data locked in unmanaged documents can affect care decisions and HIPAA compliance.
“We took a different path: a substantial, multi-year R&D investment to build a cloud-native, multi-tenant platform ready for single-click AI integration,” said Ryan Wedig, co-founder and chief executive of Vasion.
The platform bundles eForms, eSignature, intelligent document processing and no-code workflow automation. Vasion says it is cloud-native and built to regulated-industry standards.
For existing customers, Vasion says the move builds on infrastructure they already run through PrinterLogic. New customers get a single platform entry point in place of multiple vendors.
