Scan Station 500 talks the talk

March 4, 2009:Kodak has brought network scanning into the multimedia era with the Scan Station 500, which offers an exclusive Voice Attachment feature to allow users to send audio messages with personalised comments or instructions along with scanned images.

The new Scan Station 500 offers the ability to efficiently manage and deliver documents through email, fax, network routing and integrated workflow

An eight inch LCD color touch screen provides programmable shortcuts and an intuitive graphical user interface.

“With the touch of a button, users can easily send high quality images of scanned documentsto multiple destinations simultaneously, including network drives, FTP sites, printers, email, fax and portable USB drives,” said Webster. “Now they can even send a personalised voice message with those images.”

A range of new image enhancing features are designed to help in extracting information from a variety of documents.

Equipped with a 75 sheet feeder and a daily duty cycle of 1,500 scans, the Scan Station 500provides 200 dots per inch color duplex scanning at up to 30 pages per minute.

The Scan Station 500 also utilises Kodak’s exclusive Perfect Page Image Processing Technology to enhance the integrity and accuracy of digital information captured from paper documents.Tethered A3 or A4 flatbed scanners and a tactile keyboard are among the available accessories.

Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi) AUTOSTORE Software is available as an option, and the KODAK Scan Station 520EX is available for ISV integration.
