Organice mines a rich seam in New Caledonia

Multinational mining infrastructure giant Hatch has implemented SharePoint and Cadac Organice as the Enterprise Content Management System for the Koniambo Nickel Project in New Caledonia.

The US$3.85 billion development of the massive Koniambo ore body is being managed by Koniambo Nickel SAS (KNS), a joint venture between Société Minière du Sud Pacifique, the development arm of the North Province government of New Caledonia (51%) and Xstrata Nickel (49%).

The Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) contract was awarded to a joint venture between Hatch and Technip and includes engineering, procurement and construction project management services.

Cadac Organice Explorer is used to manage the electronic documentation in SharePoint required to support Operations, including engineering, quality, regulatory, specifications, vendor documents, procedures, policies and external communications.

Cadac Organice Transmit will be used in the near future to distribute documents between the project partners using transmittals and to keep track of what was sent to whom, when and why.

Furthermore, Cadac Organice Scan, Cadac Organice Publish and the Cadac Organice Document Numbering Tool to automatically generate document numbers for new documents in SharePoint have been implemented.
