Australian SharePoint Conference lures global gurus

World-renowned SharePoint evangelists Joel Oleson, Michael Noel, Eric Harlan, Paul Swider, Mark Miller, and Dux Raymond Sy will line up at the Australia SharePoint Conference 2011, returning to the Sydney Hilton from March 8-9.

Joel and Mark are Keynote Speakers, and will open the event by looking at the The History and Future of the SharePoint Community, and how it has transformed businesses and individuals.

The pair will also investigate the impact of social media and various community driven efforts as SharePoint has grown into the multi-billion dollar, fastest revenue generating product in Microsoft history.

Michael Noel will look at the new and improved options to backup and restore a SharePoint Farm in SharePoint 2010, explaining that, while greatly improved, there are some gaps in the techniques and technology that must be addressed. This session will demonstrate new features, what’s improved, which features are deprecated and then move on to see how products such as Microsoft’s System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2010 can be used to fill in the gaps.

The Voice of the Customer stream at the event will include case studies such as the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) who will share the lessons of building internet sites based on SharePoint 2007 and 2010.

Baptist Community Services NSW & ACT, a leading Aged Care service provider in Australia, will go behind its implementation of a new Intranet using SharePoint 2007 with HP-TRIM integration for all policies and forms.

Australian SharePoint Conference 2011 will be held at the Sydney Hilton over two days and feature over 40 Speakers.
