Snowbound Software enhances VirtualViewer HTML5

The VirtualViewer HTML5 document viewer has been enhanced with mew mobile capabilities, along with keyboard shortcuts, text extraction, and metadata functionality in version 3.4.

"This milestone release adds tremendous value to VirtualViewer;" said Jeff Kurson, product manager at Snowbound Software.

"The new enhancements offer our customers more ways to streamline their workflow, while also providing our on-the-go clients with a truly mobile user experience."

Users accessing the viewer on tablets and smartphones can now utilize touch-based interactions for adding and editing annotations, as well as momentum-based scrolling to navigate through pages. The mobile version of the viewer also features a clearer and sharper user interface with bigger buttons that allow for easier touch navigation.

Users can easily copy and extract text from searchable documents by dragging over the desired text, copying to the clipboard, and then pasting safely and securely elsewhere.

The enhanced viewer displays a customizable list of document and page properties -- for example, Document Size (Bytes), Page Count or Document Format.
