Databasics to Launch Equilibirium’s MediaRich Server Product Line
July 24th, 2007: Databasics has announced a golden partnership agreement with Equilibrium, Pty. Ltd. to launch MediaRich Media Server for Microsoft Sharepoint in Australia and New Zealand.
This launch will see a greater functionality and customization for users of Microsoft Sharepoint, reported by theregister.com as being Microsoft’s fastest growing product in January 2007. Equilibrium’s Media Rich is reported as being the only “full featured, tightly integrated digital asset management system available for Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007" according to Ricky Patten, Director of DataBasics.
MediaRich is expected to remove the stigma of generic, non-previewed sharepoint content and replace it with a richer, more dynamic knowledge transfer
This agreement continues Databasics strong partnership with Equilibrium, having already established a strong base in the Australian market with the DeBabelizer automated media production tool. Patten predicts that their will be a strong take up of both products in the next quarter.
Equilibrium currently powers some of the largest Business to Business portals, web 2.0 infrastructures and websites in the world including media: The Walt DisneyPictures and Television, Sony Pictures, Universal Music Group,E! Entertainment, Microsoft, AOL, NBC Universal, and Warner Brothers.
