Scan Station Embeds AutoStore

June 14, 2007: Kodak has enhanced its Scan Station 100 to include software supporting the NSi AutoStore content capture solution, assisting the flow of content to business applications, databases and document management systems.

Kodak’s network scanning device will support Notabale Solutions Inc’s (NSi) capture workflow solution, AutoStore, by embedding the AutoStore client software directly into the Scan Station 100.

Hauke Fast, a Kodak product marketing manager, says Kodak had envisioned progressive customisation of the Scan Station 100 since its inception. “The additional capabilities that this integration will provide makes using the Scan Station 100 even quicker and easier across a broader range of applications,” he says.

The NSi AutoStore solution provides a rule-based workflow system for capturing, processing and routing content. NSi says AtutoStore supports a range of business applications, databases and document management systems including Documentum, AplicationXtender, Alchemy, Microsoft SharePoint, Domino.Doc, FileNet, Oracle, Exchange and SQL.

Enno Lueckel, general manager of NSi Europe says the combined Scan Station and AutoStore solution will change the document imaging market. “Systems integrators and customers can elevate distributed capture to a new level,” he says.
