Iron Mountain Augments Records Management with Accutrac

June 26, 2007: Information protection and storage services provider Iron Mountain has announced that it has acquired the US-based Accutrac Software and its records management software.

The deal will provide a strong boost to Iron Mountain’s records management capabilities, with Accurtac’s XE software providing a central system for consistently managing both active and inactive records, whether they reside at an Iron Mountain site, a company's own records room, or any other location or repository.

“Our customers want us to partner with them throughout the lifecycle of a record to help reduce the costs and risks associated with information management,” said Greg Nicastro, Executive Vice President of Integrated Solutions and Development, Iron Mountain. “Accutrac's software gives us the ability to begin that partnership earlier in the lifecycle.”

By adding Accutrac’s technology to its stable Iron Mountain says it will be able to offer new automation tools such as file indexing and classification, location tracking, records delivery request automation, new robust discovery, search, query and filtering tools, retention management and legal holds, archiving, and disposition/destruction reporting.

“Joining Iron Mountain represents the ultimate accomplishment and opportunity for Accutrac,” said Kurt Thies, CEO of Accutrac Software. “We share a passion and commitment to this industry and to our customers. Iron Mountain is the only company capable of offering customers a complete records lifecycle management solution.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
