SA Health selects Objective

July 23, 2008: Following its recent success in South Australia with the Shared Services SA contract, Objective has announced that it has signed a new contract with the South Australian Department of Health (SA Health) to deliver an enterprise-wide electronic document and records management solution (EDRMS).

After an evaluation processes with input from over 20 key stakeholders, Objective was selected because it offers a flexible solution that could easily be adopted by a range of employees, from central administration office personnel through to health care professionals.

According to the Executive Director Finance and Administration for SA Health, John O’Connor, Objective’s electronic content management solution offered “the greatest capacity to meet the SA Health’s current and future needs for records and document management”

“Objective’s technology infrastructure is a great fit for the Health Portfolio’s environment, as it can be accessed easily by a small number of users stationed at a larger number of physical locations,” said O’Connor.

Objective says that the solution offers a user interface similar to Windows Explorer, and makes use of visual aids to differentiate object status within the system and an array of personal productivity tools.

The company says that the first phase of the project will deliver the implementation of department-wide policies, procedures and business rules for the management of physical records, the creation of a single records management database and the rollout of Objective to administrative staff within the department.
