LuitDox Promotes Collaborative Document Management Online

April 16, 2007: Each week that passes is seeing the online document management market gaining momentum. This week, India’s Luit Infotech has announced its own Web-based document management system, focussing on collaboration.

Called LuitDox Platinum, Luit’s document and knowledge management software is pushing collaboration, document sharing and knowledge management as its core functions.

Aimed at enterprises, the company claims its software helps to streamline business knowledge and foster collaboration on digital assets. Luit claims that the software has been developed purely for knowledge workers and tailored to fit the way they actually work.

The system works on both Linux and Windows systems and can be accessed via any web browser. Collaboration is controlled by the document author setting access rights and a comprehensive audit trail keeps track of those who viewed or modified a document and the modification comments associated with each version

The company says that implementing LuitDox not only helps a business increase its visibility into the real-time status of document lifecycles, but it also enables tasks to be quickly created, cancelled, suspended or restarted as needed.

No pricing has been released as yet.
