Compliance Software Goes SaaS

Compliance Software Goes SaaS

June 2, 2008: Pilgrim Software in the US has announced that its enterprise compliance and quality management systems are now available as software as a service (SaaS) solutions.

Called “Pilgrim On-Demand,” the company says the new software application delivery model offers organisations an alternative way to managing key electronic compliance and quality processes now that compliance is a vital, not optional component.

Pilgrim says that compliance and quality management systems have become central to a company’s knowledge and information infrastructure, but maintaining the software and technology used by these systems can be time consuming and costly. From this point of view, SaaS is becoming increasingly popular due to lower initial investment cost, reduced overhead, scalability, easier implementation, and more.

“Pilgrim’s On-Demand solution allows organisations to be completely hands free on any needed technology to run the critical and strategic ECQM applications,” said Prashanth Rajendran, Pilgrim’s Chief Operating Officer. “Companies that adopt the SaaS strategy spend more time streamlining their operations as opposed to building and maintaining IT infrastructure and architecture to run their strategic applications.”
