Laserfiche 8 Released

May 23, 2008: Laserfiche have released the latest version of their flagship document and records management platform, Laserfiche 8.

Laserfiche 8 seeks to improve on the capture, indexing and metadata strengths of previous versions and boost business automation and interoperability. Laserfiche believes it’s the most flexible and scaleable solution ever.

“Laserfiche has always been a strong search and retrieval system, and Laserfiche 8 extends these strengths to business process automation,” said Laserfiche CEO Nien-Ling Wacker. “I firmly believe that Laserfiche 8 will help Microsoft-driven organizations shine.”

Laserfiche 8 features a redesigned automation module, greater interoperability with office applications, particularly Microsoft SharePoint and enhanced system architecture.

“Laserfiche 8 gives us everything we need—particularly the new workflow tools—to expand our paperless initiative into additional departments,” said Denise Grossmann of Blue Earth County, MN, a Laserfiche client since 2002. “The interface is even easier to use, and the new features will really complement what we’re doing in Microsoft SharePoint.”

Laserfiche is distributed locally by Ricoh, more information can be found on the Ricoh Australia website.
