KnowledgeTree Updates Document Management Offerings

March 19, 2008: Open source document management provider, KnowledgeTree has released new versions of its self titled tools and server software.

The latest updates to Knowledge Tree Server and Tools focuses on functionality enhancements, including compatibility with Microsoft Office 2007. The subscription model has also been altered to three subscription tiers, with the premier tier boasting a 4 business-hour response time.

"Customers are now able to choose a KnowledgeTree edition that suits their requirements and support level. The new product tiers and per user pricing offers our customers more choice, superior value, priority support, and improved flexibility. We're excited about offering this added value and look forward to building long-term relationships with our customers," said John Thorne, Chief Sales Officer, KnowledgeTree.

The move follows on from KnowledgeTree’s launch last year of their Software-as-a-Service platform, with applications built on top of the Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud to offer on-demand solutions.

Bill Maguire, CIO at Virgin America believes the software is phenomenal and incredibly simple, “it's really, really cool and all Web-based. It took about two hours to set up and roll it out to all company departments” he said.
